Our StorySean and Crissy Heath started their life journey together ready to follow the American dream. God had different plans for their lives. In 2010, God led Sean to Peru for an international missions trip. In 2015, they founded Rooted In Grace & Love based on their passion and hearts to be rooted and grounded in God’s Word and to share His love with others.

What a blessing to be surrounded by so many who are longing to hear more about Jesus and His Word. As we gather each week in the villages, we cannot help but think about the little things we take for granted and to pause and think God for His great love, grace, and unending mercies. Seeing these women coming together with no large buildings or comfortable seats…only JESUS.
We are working through the study by Chip Ingram called “Good to Great in God’s Eyes”. This week was a sweet reminder for us all to mediate on spiritual insights.
Chip shares in his study, “one more insight that has changed my life: comparison is at the core of carnality. That comes straight out of 2 Corinthians 10:12, so there’s nothing groundbreaking there. But when I realized that truth, it made a huge difference in my life. I realized that when I compare my gifts with someone else’s, there are only two places to go: inferiority or superiority. I either become envious or arrogant.
It’s the same when I compare personalities, success, possessions, relationships, or anything else. There’s no spiritual benefit to do that. This universal human tendency to compare can result in all kinds of emotional struggles. What’s the solution? To think about the TRUTH: we are accepted in Christ by his blood; we’re the object of his affection; we are so precious to him that he gathers our tears in a bottle (Psalm 56:8), and he went to the cross while we were still sinners. We are accepted in Beloved, and the life we now live is a response of gratitude, not a labor of guilt or a desperate attempt to impress.”

Join us this year in praying daily for Project Hope. This week we kick off our 4th year of Project Hope High School - College Ministry. As the new school year in Peru has opened, we will be gathering 5 days a week with 300 high school and college students to share a warm lunch and walk through God’s Word. Please pray for these students. Pray for the daily discipling ~ pray for hearts and lives to be eternally changed. Pray for the ministry staff who will serving approximately 65,000 meals this year and loving on the students each day. God is faithful and we pray for His provisions. We are so grateful for your prayers, encouragement, and support~ thank you for partnering with us!
